KIM Property Management System for Trading Standards (PROMANTiS) is an application designed to help you effectively manage all items being handled within the organisation. This extends the use of PROMANTiS from management of counterfeit goods to animal health, food sample management and even using the systems diary features for prompting renewal of metrication calibration.
As counterfeiting increases and Trading Standards investigate more potential crimes so the volume of physical evidence seized rises in proportion. One of the real issues, especially in a pro-active Trading Standards Departments, is how the high volume of exhibits or goods retained for examination are stored and managed until case closure.
Even then some items have to be kept for many years whilst an offender is in prison. Not only is space precious (and expensive) but the risk of mismanaging the evidence could result in a lost case at court with many man-hours wasted and a loss of public confidence.
