PDP

Maintaining the competency records of management and staff, often against a diverse mixture of occupational standards, regulatory qualifications and professional registers can be a daunting and time consuming process. The failure to complete re-accreditation processes robustly and on time may result in the loss of professional status and restriction of activities. The scope and flexibility of the system is such that it could entirely remove the need for paper records for any initial or continuing professional development portfolio. Users will benefit from cost savings and greater efficiencies whilst maintaining a robust process.

In addition to conventional e-portfolios that often rely on remote assessments and scanned evidence, PDP allows for evidence which will occur within a wide range of formats all to be linked irrespective of their source. Simply put, evidence that may comprise of qualifications, work produced, comment on externally hosted web site, media reports, testimony and details of work experience held in other internal systems are difficult to link. These are all referenced from a single screen, allowing the portfolio owner and those associated with any assessment process, to directly view and record assessment decisions against all evidence quickly and easily. Assessment is then carried out against naturally occurring evidence together with the full background cause and effect of the candidate’s actions. This provides a more holistic and therefore thorough assessment process.

PDP is entirely Occupational Standard neutral and is capable of supporting any Standards for any occupation, professional body, award or compentency framework.
